Michael Edward Miller
(b. 1989 in Ontario, Canada)
Michael is a Vancouver-based interdisciplinary artist whose practice blends contemporary digital aesthetics with video game interactive tropes in order to examine the human condition in the context of the global digital age. Through painting and interactive time-based installations, Michael addresses themes of agency, identity construction, sexuality, mortality, and the tension between virtual and real space. Michael's installations aim to empower viewers to challenge established norms and oppressive ideological structures by liberating their bodies in the real.
Miller currently holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Emily Carr University of Art + Design.
